Manichithrathazhu-The Door Lock: It is the ancient and decorative traditional door lock of Kerala. It is very safe and attractive. There are different types of locks used in Manichithrathazhu Single lock, double lock and Secret Lock; it’s known as “Soothrapoottu”, Soothrapoottu means locking and opening only by persons one who knows the secret of the locking system. Another attractive Bell lock is we can hear a bell sound opening and locking with the lock.
